I AM

Cécile, born under the last mandate of Giscard. I live a few steps from Lyon in a village where good wine and gastronomy reign supreme. I left Paris at the age of 25, the stress and the rhythm of life having got the better of me, it was towards the capital of the saplings that my heart turned.

I like: collecting visas, Cinematic Orchestra, Peaky Blinders, Bernard Werber, Elie Saab, improvised aperitifs, the sound of rain on the skylight.
I don't like: people driving on the middle file of the freeway, oysters, dealing with paperwork.

MY WORK

Photo-reporter, I specialized, among other things, in wedding reporting in France and abroad. My work is focused on photo reportage far from the stereotypes of traditional wedding photography.
I didn't go to photography school, I spent most of my higher education in finance and management. I turned to photography after realizing that management control, auditing and reporting ultimately mattered to me... quite a bit.
Despite all this experience is useful to me on a daily basis, particularly in the organization of my work and by a certain relentlessness in wanting to make balanced images - the accounting balance being ultimately not very far...

Your pictures, your memories

For 12 years now, my work has focused on people. My priority is to transcribe happiness through my shots, moments of life, laughter, tears, anecdotal scenes. I believe that happiness has no limits, that if my photos can contribute to it, my job finds an interest in it. Seeing the emotions of my clients when they discover their images is my greatest motivation. Seeing them go from laughter to tears, from wonder to surprise, that's what drives me.
Coming from this generation inspired by music, architecture, looks crossed from the 4 corners of the globe, I apply myself to retransmit this energy in my images. Among other things, I like color, powerful blacks and whites and I attach great importance to playing with light.

Approach and service

My service is adapted to your desires and the format of your event. I think that a well-executed performance is above all a well-prepared performance. I enjoy meeting my future bride and groom and chatting with them as often as we need. Getting to know each other is one of the keys to the success of a report that reflects your personality. I come into your life for a day and I have to transcribe your wedding, so it is essential that the trust and the feeling are reciprocal.

I don't impose anything in terms of planning but advise you based on my experience but also according to elements such as light. My work is based on a journalistic photo approach to document events such as they actually happened. I like to remain discreet to have enough perspective on the scenes of your wedding.I attach great importance to looking at my images one by one, to sort them in an optimal way, to sublimate them without transforming them.

MY GEAR

I work with 2 cameras in order to obtain a variety of shots and to be creative with my lenses. I favor fixed focal lengths because I particularly like the sharpness they bring to the images. I hardly ever work with flash except on the dancefloor - one of my favorite moments - to create light effects that only flash can produce.
Currently I cover my reports with a Leica Q and a Nikon Z6.
These recent technologies and the pleasure of working with these tools only enhance the quality of the images.

PRESS

I was named Top 4 wedding photographers in France by Vogue. I am regularly published on renowned blogs such as Un beau jour, The barefoot bride, etc. Or published in the written press such as Le Figaro, Wedding ElseWhere, L'express or Bride Magazine...

I am a member of Fearless photographers and the Wedding PhotoJournalist Association.

I am very honored by these distinctions but much more touched by the loyalty of my customers and their attention to me.
