Wedding photography in Paris – Destination wedding Paris
Nina & Hide met in May 2012 for the first time, around a dinner table in a Parisien bistro with our mutual friends. Hide was in Paris for Roland Garros and Nina was living in Paris hunting for her restaurant location.
Hide proposed to Nina on top of the Empire State Building on Nina’s birthday. Hide was nervous and acting strange for about 10 minutes before popping the question :)A very romantic and magical moment for Hide and Nina.
They felt that a place in France would be a great venue to symbolize their union with elegance & character, and would make it perfect to welcome both families coming from abroad in a charming french location.
They chose Cercle de l’Union interalliée. It was perfect for the wedding as it could accomodate all the guests in the venue, and allows to spend the entire night in Paris. I have been shooting weddings a few times there and I must confess that it is a great location for wedding photography in Paris.
Getting married in Paris
Paris is a breathtaking city with many tourist attractions. The city is quite compact and can be easily visited on foot or by public transportation. Taxis in Paris are fairly reliable, however, Uber is also available and is usually more convenient and less expensive than a regular taxi.
Some of the popular sites include the Eiffel Tour, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sainte-Chapelle, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe and Montmartre.
There are one too many museums not to be missed: Le Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Musée de l’Orangerie, Musée de Picasso, Musée de Rodin, Centre Georges Pompidou.
As for evening entertainment, Opera and Ballet are classic options. For cabaret lovers, Moulin Rouge and Crazy Horse are fantastico!
For many of our athletic friends, a jog along the Seine river is a must.
